About Martin

Martin Le Poidevin is a British singer, liturgist, composer, teacher, conductor and administrator living and working in the South West of England. 

Among his many functions he is Director of the Music Group at Clifton Cathedral, author of A Little Book of Singing Exercises, singing teacher with South Gloucestershire Music Hub and Bristol Plays Music and proprietor of Allegro-Brio.co.uk, a web studio.

18th June Pocket Opera Pocket Opera - Pat Leighton, Helen Roberts and I, accompanied by Kathy Gibbs - perform the opera that Mozart might have written (with many of his favourite tunes) and some Shakespeare, too! Arnos Vale, 3pm.

24th June Dream of Gerontius With City of Bristol Choir, Exultate Singers under David Ogden. In Bristol's Colston Hall.

7th July Early Stroll Songs Another outing for the Early Stroll Songs (lyrics by Ian McMillan, music by Richard Barnard) at the Harrogate Festival. With Ian McMillan and Amanda Cook (guitar). There'll be some Rutter songs, too! 1pm start. Details on the Harrogate Festival website
