  • Leigh Woods walk

Good walks yesterday and today in Leigh Woods. Yesterday Nic and I took bikes and did the trail (despite the fact that my bike had an increasingly flat front tyre – although the inner tube and tyre were only changed a couple of months ago). The picture here is of Nic attempting the Red (=difficult) section at the end of the ride. He did really well.

Today we were back, grandparents still in tow, as there was a Forest Adventure Day. So we got to do archery, welly wanging and horseshoe throwing, under a blue sky.

After the event, we went for a short walk round Leigh Woods, and that led us to the viewpoint which I used to frequent with friends when I was a student. Memories came flooding back.
